Empowering Southeast Asia's Energy Transition Journey
เกี่ยวกับเรา
A primary objective of the CASE programme is to shift the energy sector narrative in Southeast Asia towards an evidence-based clean energy transition, with the aim to increase political ambition to comply with the Paris Agreement. SIPET is part of an effort by CASE to accomplish the shift of the energy sector narrative by supporting: (a) research and evidence, (b) transparency and mapping, (c) dialogue with non-energy sector stakeholders, (d) technical assistance on clean energy, and (e) promoting public discourse on the energy transition.

💡 Multilateral Power Trade in ASEAN: Advancing Regional Energy Integration Multilateral Power Trade (MPT) is a key driver of ASEAN’s energy integration, enhancing cross-border electricity exchanges through the ASEAN Power Grid (APG). By optimising power distribution and strengthening grid interconnections, MPT plays a crucial role in meeting the region’s growing energy demand while supporting a just energy transition. Yet, challenges remain—from regulatory hurdles and financing gaps to technological constraints. Our latest publication, “Roadmap for MPT in ASEAN”, outlines these barriers and explores opportunities to accelerate MPT development, with insights into market progress in the West and East subregions. As Malaysia takes on the ASEAN Chairmanship in 2025, advancing MPT will be critical. The upcoming APG Enhanced Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and APAEC Post-2025 framework will shape the future of regional energy cooperation. 📖 Read the full report and policy briefs to learn more about ASEAN’s path to a unified power https://lnkd.in/gVQ_htGd ASEAN Centre for Energy Southeast Asia Energy Transition Partnership United Nations ESCAP #CASEforSEA #ASEANPowerGrid #EnergyTransition #RenewableEnergy #MultilateralPowerTrade #SustainableDevelopment #CleanEnergy
