The 4th edition of the Asia Urban Energy Assembly will be held as a two-day international conference on July 3–4 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok, Thailand. This event is co-located with ASIA Sustainable Energy Week, one of the region’s most comprehensive international exhibitions and conferences on renewable energy, energy efficiency, and energy storage technologies. In 2024, the event attracted more than 28,000 visitors from 63 countries, including 7,268 conference delegates, making it one of the leading platforms for updates on market developments, technologies, financing, and project opportunities.
Most countries in the Asia-Pacific region have set net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) targets by 2050. This year’s edition of the Asia Urban Energy Assembly, themed “Powering Asia’s Energy Transition, will present, discuss, and explore energy technologies, policies, and financial solutions that can support and accelerate the energy transition while helping countries achieve their climate goals. The good news is that renewable energy resources in the APAC region are vast. According to IRENA, Southeast Asia alone has 17.2 TW of renewable energy resources available for deployment.
Energy efficiency and energy storage systems will play a critical role in the energy transition, alongside renewable energy. To maximize results, it is essential to consider the bigger picture. By adopting energy efficiency measures and integrating energy storage solutions, it is possible to increase renewable energy penetration while also addressing the world’s growing energy demand. Asia is well-positioned for this transition, with abundant untapped renewable resources. However, unlocking this potential and integrating it into a modernized energy system remains a complex challenge that requires innovation, investment, and collaboration.
The 4th edition of the Asia Urban Energy Assembly will examine how public and private sectors can prepare for the future by leveraging today’s technology and solutions to enhance energy efficiency and integrate more renewable energy into society. The event will also explore how district energy systems can serve as a vital tool in addressing the rising cooling demand in the Asia-Pacific region. The expected audience includes energy professionals from the public and private sectors, such as utility representatives, government officials, policymakers, developers, consultants, investors, international organizations, and academic institutions.

We look forward to seeing you in Bangkok in July!
